DIRECTOR OF FUND DEVELOPMENT – BRA COUTURE KC

Bra Couture KC’s mission is to raise funds to provide care for uninsured/ underinsured cancer patients in the greater Kansas City area and to address healthcare disparity issues in underserved communities.

The Director of Development will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, grant applications, planned giving, and special events. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO/Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop fundraising goals and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the organization’s annual revenue goals.
  • Identify and cultivate major gift prospects, as well as corporate and foundation donors. Work closely with the annual BCKC Event planners to collaborate on ways to retain and increase sponsorships, attendance and revenue.
  • Plan and execute additional special events that engage donors and raise funds for the organization.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors and CEO/Executive Director to develop fundraising strategies and goals.
  • Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Seek grant opportunities that are closely aligned with the goals of the BCKC organization.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, grant awards, and special events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling donor communication, grant writing and marketing materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, Board members, and volunteers.
  • Experience with fundraising software and donor databases.
  • Experience in raising funds in the healthcare field, particularly cancer is helpful.
  • A deep commitment to the mission and values of our organization.
